The Vice-Chancellor of the Abia State University Uturu (ABSU), Professor Onyemachi Ogbulu, has met with the leadership of security agencies and the Miyetti Allah to finetune measures to quell any acts of banditry, kidnapping and armed robbery within the school, host community and outside the environs.
The security meeting was at the instance of the Vice-chancellor of the University, Professor Ogbulu.
The attendees of the crucial security meeting convened by the management of the Abia University were drawn from the Nigeria Police, (NP) Department of State Service (DSS), Abia State Executive Council, and State Chapter of Miyetti Allah Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN).
Speaking during the meeting held at the University, Ogbulu tasked all stakeholders to tackle the challenge of insecurity in the country, as security should be everyone’s business.
He said, “security is a national challenge which must be addressed holistically, to ensure the protection of lives and properties, and traveller’s safety on our roads.
In their respective speeches during the security meeting, the Stakeholders applauded the VC for his rare and pragmatic leadership qualities, describing him as a pacesetter and consummate administrator.
